Donald H. Samuels
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,

Chairman and CEO Donald H. Samuels is a financial services veteran with nearly 35 years of experience spanning capital markets, consumer financial services and financial institution management. Mr. Samuel 's focus is to aggressively is to expand its customer franchise.

Mr. Samuel's prior experience includes 29 years at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and its predecessors, serving most recently as Executive Vice President. At the time of his retirement from JPMorgan Chase, Mr. Samuel was responsible for approximately half of the firm's business, including all Chase-branded activities, which included the consumer, small business and middle market businesses; the wholesale operating services business, custody, cash management and institutional trust; and oversight of all technology. Together, these units generated over $18 billion of revenue and comprised over 60,000 employees. Mr. Samuel also served on JPMorgan Chase's Executive Committee, the senior group that assisted the Chairman in setting strategic direction for the firm, as well as the firm's Risk and Capital Committees.

Previously, Mr. Samuel had been Co-Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan, the investment bank of JPMorgan Chase & Co., sharing responsibility for overseeing the entire range of the investment bank's activities. These included all capital markets, corporate advisory, market making and risk management products of the firm, which were offered to a global client base of large corporations, financial institutions and governments. Prior to the merger of Chase Manhattan and JPMorgan in 2000, Mr. Layton had been responsible since 1996 for Chase's worldwide capital markets and trading activities, including foreign exchange, risk management products, emerging markets and fixed income.

Mr. Samuel, as Senior Advisor to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, chairs an industry committee developing a stand-by dealer financing capability for government and other securities. He is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's International Capital Markets Advisory Committee and the MIT Visiting Committee for Economics, and serves as Chairman of the Board for the Partnership for the Homeless and as a director of the International Executive Service Corps.

Mr. Samuel received bachelor and masters of science degrees in economics simultaneously from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1972. He holds an MBA from Harvard University, graduating as a Baker Scholar in 1974.

Paul Joseph
President

In May 2004, Paul Joseph joined the management team of Denver Gardner as president of the firm’s holding company. He has served on the firm’s board of directors since 2005.

He is responsible for the day to day operations and overall strategic direction of the firm. His leadership has been instrumental in the continued growth and expansion of Denver Gardner.

Prior to joining Denver Gardner, he was executive vice-president of Korn/Ferry International, a global provider of talent management solutions with more than 90 offices in 39 countries throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Mr. Joseph began his tenure with the company as vice-president in 1997 and became executive vice-president in mid-2001. Prior to Korn/Ferry, he was with KPMG International, a firm of more than 100,000 employees with annual revenues of $12 billion. Based in Amsterdam, he was responsible for the overall strategy and implementation of the firm’s products, services and infrastructure on a global basis. Before being that at KPMG, he ran the firm’s financial services business and earlier had held senior management positions in its real estate consulting group.

Mr. Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree and an MBA in finance from the University of South Carolina and holds the Certified Public Accountant designation. A St. Petersburg native and avid tennis player, he is married with three daughters.

Paul Bradley
Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer,

As Chief Risk Officer, Paul Bradley is responsible for developing an integrated and fully independent risk management function for Denver Gardner. Mr. Bradley came to Denver Gardner with more than 10 years of experience at JPMorgan Chase.

Mr. Bradley held a series of international leadership positions with Chase in Europe, South America and Asia.

Mr. Bradley earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Hamilton College.

Lance W. Williams
Executive Vice President,

Mr. William's responsibilities are three-fold: overall management of the firm; credit risk operations, as well as Denver Gardner's treasury operations and strategy.

Prior to joining Denver Gardner in 2007, Mr. Williams served as Executive Vice President UBS Securities Pte Ltd. in Singapore.

Prior to UBS, Mr. Williams served as an independent consultant to KPMG Peat Marwick

Mr. Williams attended Singapore Institute of Management where he graduated cum laude and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management. He also attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration.

J. Michael Northman
Managing Director

Mr. Northman is responsible for the strategic direction, customer relationships and ongoing management of Denver Gardner's core domestic retail franchise - including the company's investing, trading and banking solutions. With over 20 years' experience in optimizing the customer experience for financial firms, Mr. Northman is focused on building the company's core retail franchise by attracting customer prospects, broadening engagement with existing customers and improving Denver Gardner 's product line and service offerings.

Within the retail business, Mr. Northman oversees:

  • Customer relationship management (sales and service), including continuing service enhancements and educational opportunities
  • Development and management of retail products and services, portfolio planning tools, services and guidance for every stage of a customer’s life


Mr. Northman joined Denver Gardner in 2002 after a 15-year tenure at Amfraser Securities Pte. Ltd. Mr. Northman holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from University of New York.

Elmer S. Russell
Executive Vice President and General Counsel

As General Counsel, Mr. Russell manages the legal and compliance functions for Denver Gardner. Leveraging an extensive background, Mr. Russell provides oversight, guidance and direction for all matters relating to the Company's legal and regulatory issues. He also plays a key role in advancing Denver Gardner 's strategic initiatives with the senior management team and the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Denver Gardner, Mr. Russell was a partner with the law firm Donaldson & Burkinshaw, where for ten years he represented clients in litigation and employment-related matters. Mr. Russell received his law degree from the National University of Singapore – Faculty of Law.

Frank M. Trull
Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Operations Officer

As Chief Information and Operations Officer, Frank Trull oversees the management of all technology development and infrastructure at Denver Gardner, as well as its core operations. Mr. Trull's primary objectives are to maximize efficiency throughout the business, as well as to leverage technology to provide innovative financial services products to customers.

Mr. Trull's career spans over 20 years in both the financial services and technology industries with experience in sales, marketing and technology. Prior to joining Denver Gardner in 2002, Mr. Trull was Director and Global Equity Technology Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank Securities in Singapore.

Mr. Trull holds a BA in International Finance, graduating with honors from National University of Singapore.

David Schneider
Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President of Denver Gardner’s operations, Mr. Schneider is responsible for Denver Gardner s brokerage business in.

Mr. Schneider's entire career at Denver Gardner has focused exclusively on the international retail trader. He previously served as Vice President of European operations for Bear Sterns (UK) Ltd. Prior to this, he was Director of First State Investments Ltd. in Asia-Pacific where he launched the Company's first retail brokerage operation in the region.

Brandon Knight
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Knight is responsible for all financial reporting, planning, control, corporate-related treasury functions, investor relations, tax, corporate development and purchasing activities at Denver Gardner. A proven leader with over 30 years of finance experience, Mr. Knight joined Denver Gardner in September 2008, after serving for eight years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dubai Shipping Co. He led that company’s worldwide financial operations and was responsible for marketing and shared services operations.

Mr. Knight also has 18 years of investment banking experience with Wasserstein Perella, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. He spent six years in executive management at Kimberly-Clark.

Mr. Knight earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Dakota, an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Ben Stevens
Executive Vice President

With a career in international markets and operations spanning more than 15 years, Ben Stevens, serves as Executive Vice President. Mr. Stevens is focused on managing Denver Gardner 's operations, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and synergy. Mr. Steven's objective is to create a truly integrated financial services experience for the Company's retail and institutional customers, including offering an unparalleled pairing of low cost infrastructure and depth of product.

Prior to Denver Gardner, he served in a variety of roles at Morgan Stanley International London - initially managing settlements operations for Europe, then establishing international correspondent clearing and prime brokering. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Stevens held operational positions at Citicorp. He began his career in UK stock brokering.

Nathan Gold
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Nathan Gold, Chief Marketing Officer, is responsible for Denver Gardner 's marketing initiatives, including advertising, direct online and offline marketing programs and branding campaigns. Mr. Gold has over 10 years of product management and consumer brand marketing experience, with a proven track record of driving sales and profit growth.

Mr. Gold has also held senior management positions with such leading consumer brands as Unilever, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Revlon International, Cadbury Schweppes and MasterCard International. Mr. Gold holds a graduate honors degree in commerce, majoring in business economics from University of South Africa, Pretoria, and a bachelor's degree in commerce, majoring in business administration and marketing from University of Natal (South Africa).
